What is Vulnerability?

Vulnerability refers to social, economic, or physical disadvantages that affect people's ability to benefit from, participate in, or adapt to project activities.

Common indicators include:

1

Basic Needs Indicators

  • Food insecurity
  • Inadequate housing
2

Service Access Indicators

  • Limited access to education or healthcare
3

Physical and Legal Indicators

  • Physical disability
  • Lack of identification or legal rights
4

Social Exclusion Indicators

  • Gender-based exclusion
  • Youth or elderly isolation

What to Do

Select all indicators that apply broadly in the community. You do not need perfect data — local observations or existing reports are enough.
